Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis Solicitation Number: FA8307-16-R-0262 Title: Amplifier/Switch Unit OEM: API/Weinschel, Inc. CAGE Code: 93459 NAICS Code: 334419 Classification Code: 5985 AFLCMC/HNCK Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Contracting Branch Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland TX, is seeking vendors who have the capability to provide the following: Amplifier/Switch Unit, Part Number: 8390-2, Quantity: 2 each The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is API/Weinschel, Inc. API/Weinschel, Inc. owns the proprietary rights for the custom made model 8390-2 Amplifier/Switch Units. They are comprised of an eight position terminating input switch and RF amplifier and a relay based step attenuation that provides 0-103dB of attenuation in 1dB steps. The model/part number has been approved by the Air Force Configuration Control Board. Potential vendors for this effort would have to have an agreement with the OEM, API/Weinschel, Inc. to ensure they can meet specifications and the appropriate Air Force approvals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify its interest and capability to the Contract Specialist within three (3) days of this publication at elizabeth.arzola@us.af.mil. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a) or woman owned business and whether they are located in the U.S. or foreign owned. An AFLCMC Ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Before consulting the Ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. In addition, AFFARS 5352.201-9101 Ombudsman (Apr 2014), will be included in this acquisition's solicitation and contract. The AFLCMC Ombudsman can be contacted at: (Primary) Lt Col Kenneth L.
