- SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions This is not a Request for Proposal or a Solicitation and any submitted proposal shall be disqualified upon receipt. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking sources for the following: BOTTLED WATER & FILTRATION SYSTEM DELIVERY - SITE WIDE @ SLAC Delivery of bottled water services and supplies site wide in accordance with the requirements described below. Delivery will be to twenty (20) locations on site. DescriptionApproximate Count per Week 1.Drinking water (5 gallon bottles) 35 2.Drinking water (3 gallon bottles) 35 3.Hot & Cold dispensers 10 (charged monthly) 4.Cold (room temp) dispensers 5 (charged monthly) 5.9 oz. drinking cups 10 6..5 (1/2) liter bottled water (case) 10 7.Distilled water (case) 10 8.Dispenser for cups (one per cooler) 9.Bottle deposit (3 & 5 gallon) Water filtration system, description: A.The work includes but is not limited to the following 1.Provide up to 150 free standing energy rated water filtration station where a water source and wall receptacle exists. 2.Filtration systems shall provide a minimum of a carbon filter to remove chemicals, chlorine and solvents and a 1-micron filter. 3.The units shall provide hot (108' F) and chilled water (40' F) and be capable of filling cups and reusable portable bottles. 4.The units shall have a heating and cooling rate in 1.5 Gal/hr. 5.The units shall have self-closing faucets. 6.The units shall be compatible with 110v/60hz. 7.The unit water connections shall adapt to standard tubing fittings. 8.The subcontractor shall service the filtration unit a minimum of 2 (two) times each year and provide proof of having done this (tag on unit or log). This service shall include checking the operation of filtration systems, checking and changing filters, re-chargeable softener changes and UV changes as applicable to the unit configuration. 9.Equipment problems or failures of any origin shall require trouble service calls as necessary. Subcontractor shall respond to these call within 2 working days. 10.Extra filter may be purchase by SLAC beyond the number used in regular maintenance, if the system location requires more frequent changes. 11.The Offeror must submit a proposal which includes a lease vs buy analysis with all assumptions of equipment life, residual value, PV of lease payments ad costs of consumables, and depreciation explained in the submittal.
