- North Loop Chilled Water Line Drawings North Loop Chilled Water Line Specifications This is a Fully-Designed Project. Provide construction services, including all material, labor and oversight to install new buried chilled water supply and return lines at Fort Carson, Colorado. Work includes connection of the new chilled water supply and return main piping to the existing main piping in the existing Central Utilities Plant (CUP); installation of buried chilled water supply and return main piping and associated isolation valves (outside the CUP); construction of concrete valve vaults; installation of chilled water supply and return service lines to approximately 31 existing buildings, including connection of the new service lines to the existing chilled water system in each building; installation of electrical power to each new valve vault; excavation, backfill and grading; flushing, testing and start-up of the new piping systems. The new piping system shall be primarily constructed of high density polyethylene piping with sizes ranging from approximately 4-inch diameter to 20-inch diameter. The work shall include partial demolition of the existing transite chilled water supply and return piping system.
