No phone calls please. The objective of this market survey is to determine the qualified vendors capable to provide AeroMACS equipment for the purpose of conducting field trials. Only AeroMACS equipment manufacturers are qualified to participate in this market survey. The participant must be a member of the WiMAX forum, The manufactured equipment must be certifiable by the WiMAX Forum. This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Any costs associated with the market survey submittal are solely at the interested vendor ™s expense. The participant vendor must provide information on the compliance of the manufactured equipment with the requirements of the FAA EB-97, Guidance for AeroMACS installation by the airport operator, RTCA DO-346, AeroMACS Minimum Operational Performance Standards, and ICAO SARPs WP12.2, AeroMACS Standards and Recommended Practices. Attached are the submittal requirements and the Engineering Brief No. 97, Guidance for AeroMACS installation by the airport operator. Only those vendors that respond by the September 1 due date will be issued the requirements list.
