- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD NONCOMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT Requisition No.: 687-17-1-131-0001Date of Notice: 08/29/2016 Contracting Officer: DIANA CURLClosing Date: 09/05/2016 This notice will appear for 7 days from above date. ************************************************************************************** Description of Services: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Walla Walla, WA, requires services, non - personal, for writing workshops based on the Red Badge project, whose mission is, through the commonality of storytelling, to support Wounded Warriors in the journey to reconstruct their individual sense of self purpose, understanding of self-worth, and a place in the community, as they discover and give voice to their unique stories. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), to the City of Walla Walla. These workshops, guided by mental health practitioners within the Walla Walla community at the Walla Walla City Library, were developed specifically for veterans who are Wounded Warriors, with the purpose of helping them to regain their lives and sense of worth, and enabling them to better fit back into the daily life of the communities they live in. This specific program is the only one like this within the community. There were no like programs discovered during market research. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contracting Officer no later than the closing date of this announcement. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist. This is NOT an RFQ. This does represent the Government's only written notice of this procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the agency. The estimated/potential $6,000.00 Place of Performance: Walla Walla, WA ****************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-90 (effective 25 Aug 2016).
