- Request for Quotes in regards to the Universal Tester System. Universal Tester System Requirements: Tyndall requires procurement of a Universal Tester consisting of three (3) items to include: Item 0001: Universal Tester Item 0002: Universal Tester Data Acquisition and Analysis System and Installed Software Item 0003: Installation and Warranty Equipment must meet following specifications: 1. Universal Tester Specifications: 1.1 Unit must be assembled in an ISO 9001 certified facility. 1.2 Load cell must be within ±0.5% of displayed test force to 1/1000 of rated cell capacity (20kN load cell). Conforms to JIS B7721 Class.5, EN 10002-2 Grade 1, ISO 7500-1 Class 1, BS1610 Class 1, and ASTM E4. (N = Newton) 1.3 The tester must be capable of both analog and digital data acquisition. 1.4 The tester must be capable of performing tensile, compression, flexural, sheering, adhesion, torsion, and flow testing for plastic, metal, and ceramic samples. 1.5 The system must be capable of measuring a range of 1N-50kN within the same housing. 1.6 Cross head must have a speed range of.00005 to 1000 mm/min. With ±0.1% precision rating. 1.7 Crosshead detection must be within ±0.1% of indicated value. 1.8 Data acquisition rate must be at 5000Hz and data sampling rate must be at 300Hz. 1.9 Switching between analysis types must be accomplished quickly and by a single user. 2. Universal Tester Data Acquisition and Analysis System with Installed Software: 2.1 The software must allow for automatic data collection. 2.2 It must allow for method creation of every possible configuration. 2.3 Must be capable of providing stress/strain curves. 2.4 PC workstation must be provided. 2.5 System must not be on a network. 3. Installation and Warranty: 3.1 Installation must performed by factory trained service personnel. 3.2 On-site training is mandatory. 3.3 The tester must be warranted for one year from the date of installation.
