- Draft Performance Work Statement Please note this is a modification to a previous notice posted in July 2016. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is changed from 484110 (General Freight Trucking, Local) to 484220 Specialized Freight (except Usge Goods) Trucking, Local). Description of Services: The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing complete services for delivery of Hazardous Material from the Hazardous Material Control Center (HMCC) to customers on JBLM, WA. The intended contract period is a one-year base period plus four(4) one-year option periods (five years total). A Sources Sought (SS) Questionnaire is below. Responses to the questionnaire are encouraged from all interested parties. Be advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation. Please provide any additional feedback in your response that you feel is relevant. Please limit your responses to three (3) pages or less. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a Sources Sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. DISCLAIMER: This (SS) is submitted in accordance with 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). This SS is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Responses to this SS shall not serve as proposals, bids, or offers and will prelude the Government from forming a binding contract. MICC-JBLM will not accept unsolicited proposals related to the subject of this SS. The responder must clearly identify any information it considers sensitive or proprietary. All information received in response to this SS that is marked "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly. Responses to this SS will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with and incurred by responding to this SS. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed because of this notice. Responses to this request will be considered for determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. There will not be reimbursement for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
