Description

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE 21 (NCO 21) Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). The Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System has a requirement for contractor to conduct fire extinguisher annual inspections and hydrostatic test for the Department of VA Medical Centers located in Palo Alto to include numerous off-sites locations within the East and West Bays. The Contractor shall develop and maintain a record of annual service requirements and due dates for portable fire extinguishers located within the Palo Alto Health Care System (HCS). The Contractor shall perform all annual inspections and hydrostatic tests, which shall include labor, materials and transportation of extinguishers. Additionally, all service must comply with current NFPA 10 guidelines for fire extinguisher maintenance, which includes the annual service and 6 year hydrostatic testing. Solicitation Number VA261-16-Q-0968 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about August 31, 2016. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications and information necessary to quote the project. Quotes are tentatively scheduled to be due on Friday, September 9, 2016 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date).
