Description
Questions and Answers: 1) When would this SACON project occur? Response - The installation portion of the project would occur during February 2017 through April 2017 time period. Today is 8/30/2016 and according to the documents, the SACON is due for delivery in 20 days. (on page 4 of 14 it says) Response - The original delivery date was established based on the original schedule that was developed with an expected delivery date by mid-September; however, the schedule has been refined now to reflect the SACON delivery date by February 2017. A. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE / REQUIRED DELIVERY DATES The required delivery date for the material required is Sept 20, 2016). Response - The schedule has been refined now to reflect the SACON delivery date by February 2017. B. SHIPPING ADDRESS Training Resource and Range Planner Building 220105T Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 Response - Shipping Address Training Resource and Range Planner Building 220105T Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 Range 132 Marine Corps Base Urban Training Facility R132, X-RAY Impact Area Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 Latitude: 33°18'02.5" N, Longitude: 117°24'22.0" W This would not allow for proper time of curing for concrete if this date is accurate. Response - The schedule has been refined now to reflect the SACON delivery date by February 2017; hence, there would be enough time to pour and allow for proper curing of concrete. 2) Would it be possible to perform a site visit to investigate the existing structure with the similar kind of blocks? (it is important to see the type of keys in the blocks if the owner plans to mix SACON blocks with existing structures) Response - An escorted site visit accessing Camp Pendleton maybe accommodated; however, there is no existing SACON structure at Range 132. Please see attached picture depicting the existing concrete slab and wooden structure. 3) Does the customer require the entire SACON shoothouse structure to be installed on site? Response - The government is procuring and requiring the delivery of the SACON blocks to a designated area adjacent to Range 132. Government forces will be installing the SACON blocks with vendor forces providing on-site technical assistance, quality assurance / quality control for duration of installation of SACON at Range 132.
