Description

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract and will utilize procedures with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 “ Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Aerospace Control Products, Inc., 1314 W. 76th Street, Davenport, IA. The USS George H.W. Bush CVN 77 requires the service of decontamination and rebuilding of the onboard Portable Oxygen Regulator Test Stand for the specific nature of oxygen components involved, which requires special handling and care to prevent significant life loss. Aviator oxygen system components include breathing regulators, valve assemblies, aneroid actuated devices, altitude controlled devices, oxygen connectors, shut-off valves and pressure devices. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. A complete RFP package will be available on or about 06 Sept 2016, by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract as supported by a signed Justification for Sole Source. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336611- Ship Building and Repairing. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer.
