- Description
- The FAA intends to make a single source/brand name-mandatory purchase for an EVS300 from Rohde & Schwarz, for high-precision level and modulation analysis of ILS (Instrument Landing System) and VOR (VHF Omnidirectional range Radar) signal during installation and servicing of such equipment. The EVS300 is an ICAO approved test system currently being used throughout Europe. The EVS300 is the first manufactured system that permits the direct correlation of ground-and-air-based signal analysis as recommended in ICAO 8071. The EVS300 expands on the FAA's capabilities to test and evaluate system performance and sitting problems by allowing the checks to be done from air, ground or remotely with accessible data being provided real time to engineering staff.
