Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO 17) South Texas Veteran Health Care System, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services' intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial contract to BIO RAD Lab, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547, for the lease of BIO RAD Lab's Geenius System and procurement of prerequisite reagents for HIV-1/HIV-2 confirmation testing. The term of the contract is a base of one (1) year with four (4) options years. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 621511 and has a size standard of $32,500,000.00 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 12:00 PM CST, September 6, 2016 to: Benito.Canales2@va.gov. Please send responses with Subject: 671-16-2-121-0740 Geenius System. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
