Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for Flush Mounted Microphones and Associated hardware. New microphones are needed for a phased array microphone system. They must be interchangeable with the microphones in an existing, NASA-owned phased array system and be compatible with an existing, NASA-owned data acquisition system and processing software. To satisfy these requirements the microphones must extend to a height on the back side of the plate of less than 0.5 inches. In addition, the microphones must be supplied with built-in preamplifiers of the constant current power type and be compatible with existing NASA-owned GEN2i data acquisition system. The microphones must also; 1) Provide a flat frequency response between 4 Hz and 70 kHz. 2) Be capable of accurately measuring sound fields up to 165 dB re. 20 Pa. 3) Provide a nominal sensitivity of at least 1.5 mV/Pa. 4) Have a built-in TEDS circuit for automatic transducer identification. • Provide 24 1/4" CCP Flush-Mounted Microphone Set, customized cable length 40 ft (12m). • Provide 24 Flush Mount Microphone Set - consisting of a 1/4" precision pressure measuring microphone with built-in CCP preamplifier. • Provide 48 Mounting Adapter for 1/4" Flush Mount microphone set • Provide 50 30 METER Cable Microdot - BNC Customized Length Specifications for flush mounted microphones: 1)Provide a flat frequency response between 4 Hz and 70 kHz (+/- 2dB) 2) Provide a nominal sensitivity of at least 1.5 mV/Pa 3) Have a built-in TEDS circuit for automatic transducer identification 4) Have a built-in Constant Current Power preamplifier 5) Compatable with a Constant Current Power supply which supplies 2 to 10 mA 6) Have an operating temperature range of at least -25 to 150° F. 7) Have a microdot 10/32 connector 8) Weigh 8 oz. or less 9) Have a microphone diameter of 6 mm without grid cap 10) Have a microphone diameter of 7 mm with grid cap 11) Have a height of 8 mm or less without grid cap 12) Have an overall width of 18 mm or less The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-89. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by close of business on September 9, 2016 to Dorothy.E.Viancourt@nasa.gov and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
