Description

1. MONTHLY OIL ANALYSIS: VA Staff will collect (5) units monthly, a total of (60) units per year. Contractor will provide containers and analysis. Analysis will consist of testing oil sample for elemental metals, viscosity, water %, total base number, soot %, fuel dilution % and oxidation/nitration. 2. SEMI-ANNUAL FUEL ANALYSIS: VA Staff will collect (5) units semi-annually in April and October, a total of (10) units per year. Contractor will provide containers and analysis. Analysis will consist of testing fuel sample for water and sediment, flash point, cloud point, and aerobic bacteria. 3. SEMI-ANNUAL ANTIFREEZE ANALYSIS: VA Staff will collect (4) units semi-annually in April and October, a total of (8) units per year. Contractor will provide containers and COOL Test (Coolant) analysis. Analysis will consist of testing antifreeze sample for metal corrosion, inhibitors, contaminants, temperature control, visual contamination, color, precipitate, odor, pH, glycol percentage, freeze/boil points, nitrate level, conductance, foam and carboxylic acid, corrosion metals, additives and total hardness. 4. ANNUAL FUEL ANALYSIS: VA Staff will collect (2) units annually in October, a total of (2) units per year. Contractor will provide containers and analysis. Analysis will consist of testing fuel sample for water and sediment, flash point, cloud point, and aerobic bacteria.
