Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, HE1280621394, is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-88. This is an unrestricted procurement. The North American Industry Classification code for this procurement is NAICS: 337127 Institutional Furniture Manufacturing. The Government has a requirement for classroom furniture for five schools in Germany. For additional details please see attached RFQ. ************************************************* Responses to Vendor Questions: Vendor Question: What is the estimated decision date on the purchase? Answer: Award is anticipated to be made before 30 September. Vendor Question: What will be the delivery date requirement? Answer: Please include the delivery date with your quote. There is no requirement but the government would like delivery as soon as possible. Vendor Question: What are the terms for this purchase? Will there be prepayment or you will need us to invoice the purchasing entity and then get payment x number of days after the delivery/purchase? Answer: Invoicing will be in accordance with the terms of DFARS clause 252.232-7006 and 252.232-7003. Vendor Question: Will you need assembly and set-up of the items? Answer: Yes. Vendor Question: If items are for different classrooms, do they need to be containerized by classroom? Answer: The furniture must be delivered to the individual schools as indicated in the RFQ and Attachments A and B. Vendor Question: Can you please check whether small variation in size and colors will be acceptable for the carpets? Answer: Yes, small variations in size and/or color for the carpet is acceptable.
