- Description
- This solicitation is for the procurement of meat wrapping systems and scales for various commissaries to weigh, wrap and label various sized trays of meat for sales display. Meat wrapping systems and scales are to be delivered to Defense Commissary Agency stores in the Continental United States to include Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico. For delivery to Puerto Rico, the contractor will only be responsible for preparation for overseas shipment and delivery to freight forwarder located in Norfolk, VA. Packaging and palletization to meet the requirements of the final destination are required and should also be factored into the unit price for each item. Contractor will be responsible for shipment to Alaska and Hawaii locations directly. The Period of Performance is a 12 month period from date of award (base period) with four 12 month option periods. The solicitation and resulting contract will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about September 15, 2016 with a tentative closing date of October 15, 2016. The anticipated award date is January 1, 2017. This procurement is being issued as a commercial unrestricted acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333997 and the business size standard is 500 employees. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of any contract resulting from the solicitation to include listing NAICS Code 333997 in the database. All responsible business sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered.
