I.Scope of Work TITLE: Install Giant Voice BUILDING/FACILITY: VAMC BEDFORD, 200 Springs Road, Bedford MA 01730 CONTRACTING OFFICERS REPRESENTATIVE (COR): Vincent Taormina REQUESTOR: Emergency Management GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: "Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to perform work for project entitled Install Giant Voice at the Edith N. Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, Massachusetts. "Contractor shall provide and install complete and fully functional emergency speaker system at the Bedford VA Medical Center to include: front-end equipment located in Bldg 78 police dispatch office, proposal with full coverage map of entire Bedford VA campus with associated decibel levels shown, and speaker system with excellent speech intelligibility. "System shall be wireless between front-end and speaker system. Proposal shall include roof-top or pole mounting options. If pole mounted, the vendor will provide and install pole. VA shall provide electrical circuit to contractor provided NEMA 4X box at the speaker and the front end. System shall be capable of tones, pre-recorded messages, and microphone for live messages. "VA representative will have final approval during testing regarding acceptable decibel levels and speech intelligibility. Training and set-up shall be provided to VA personnel. "Contractor shall install all equipment as per Code and all Industry Standards in effect at the time of installation. "The Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local legal requirements regarding workers health and safety. The requirements include but are not limited to, those found in Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) statutes and regulations, such as applicable provisions of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 1910 and 1926. "Contractor personnel will be required to be badged when working on the facility. Badges can be obtained by contacting Karen Smith, Bldg 80 Rm 113 Engineering Services Administrative Officer. "No changes to this SOW may be made without prior approval form the Contracting Officer. ---END of SOW---
