Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs in San Antonio Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with CLAIRIENT DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES INC. - ALISO VIEJO, CA 92656-1460 to provide reference laboratory testing on specific analytes and/or assay on as needed basis from 10/1/2016 to 09/30/2017. This service requirement will allow the VA Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service to maintain the level of patient care services needed: NAICS code 621511. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 12:00PM, CST on 09-09-2016. Inquiries can be emailed to ray.fallaria@va.gov.
