PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE: THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach VA Medical Center intends to release Solicitation VA248-16-Q-1699 for services to be performed at the Orlando VA Medical Center located at 13800 Veteran Way, Orlando, FL 32827. This solicitation requires services for installation of new circuit and switching electrical components for six VAMC supplied Hunter Original 52" Energy Star Rated Indoor/Outdoor Patio Ceiling Fans - 5 Reversible at the Lake Nona VA Hospital (East Side three/West Side three). This includes providing all necessary equipment, labor and materials. The forthcoming solicitation is anticipated to result in the award of a firm fixed-price contract. Contractors are required to follow all applicable sections of the NFPA Code. This includes, but is not limited to NFPA 70, 2014 edition, NFPA 72, 2013 edition and NFPA 101, 2012 edition. This acquisition shall be Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238210. The size standard is $15.5 million. This information is for classification purposes in the representation and certification portion of the Request for Quote (RFQ). This notice is not a Request for Quote. The anticipated date for release of solicitation is on or before September 2, 2016 with estimated offer due date of 09/15/2016 at 5:00 pm EST. Solicitation will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13 and will be posted on FedBizOps. All questions FOLLOWING issuance of solicitation will be submitted via email, no later than September 12, 2016 at 12 Noon EST to Susan.Griffin2@va.gov. referencing solicitation number VA248-16-Q-1699 in the subject line. Answers to questions will be provided via solicitation amendment. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be awarded to the offeror representing the best value, based on technical capability, past performance and price. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the FedBizOps website at: www.fedbizopps.gov frequently to obtain any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract award. Contractors may access SAM at https://www.sam.gov. Any/ All Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) who subsequently submit a quote in response to the forthcoming solicitation shall be verified in VetBiz www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Quotes from unverified SDVOSBs will be considered deficient and will not be evaluated.
