Description
This requirement is for an Indefinite Quantity Contract for NSN 6830-00-555-8837, EXTINGUISHER ASSEMBLY, FIRE, VAPORIZING-LIQUID. Contract period is for one (1) base year with option to extend term of contract for four (4) one-year periods. Estimated annual demand quantity is 1,171 each per base year and each option year. Surge requirements do not apply. The approved sources are: Metalcraft, Inc., DBA Sea-Fire, CAGE 06535, P/N 132-001 or P/N FH900-2; General Fire Extinguisher Corp, CAGE 99539, P/N 35569. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement described are not available. Any manufacturer other than the approved sources wishing to submit a proposal must submit a completed Source Approval Request (SAR) package. First Article Test requirements apply; number of units to be tested is 9 each. Required delivery for the First Article Test units is 190 days ARO; production delivery is 145 days after first article approval. In the event the First Article Test requirements are waived, production delivery is 145 days ARO. Higher Level Quantity applies; a quality system meeting ISO9001:2008 or equivalent is required. FOB Destination; Inspection/Acceptance at Origin is required. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the Request for Proposal (RFP). A copy of the solicitation will be made available via DLA Internet Bid Board System at https://dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on the issue date cited in the RFP. From the DIBBS Homepage, select Search RFPs. Then choose the RFP you wish to download. RFPs are in portable document format (pdf). To download and view these documents you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of the RFP will not be available to requestors. Electronic offers and offers through DIBBS are unacceptable. OFFERORS MUST COMPLETE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. The solicitation includes provision 52.215-9023, Reverse Auction; a reverse auction may be conducted. The solicitation issue date is on or about September 16, 2016.
