Description

NASA/GRC has a requirement for (1 each) part number PW-100-017, Phenom ProX SEM with EDS and ProSuite; (1 each) part number PW-600-002, Charge Reduction Sample Holder, including one day of training. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Nanoscience Instruments Inc., 9831 S. 51st Street, Phoenix, AZ 85044 as they are the exclusive distributor for Phenom World in the United States and Canada and the sole service and support provider for all of the Phenom Desktop SEM products domestically. Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The SOLE SOURCE is under the authority of FAR reference 13.1.106-a(b)1. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 9, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not]acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
