- Notice of Intent to Sole Source ERDC Contracting intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(ii) - Soliciting Competition to IMMIXTECHNOLOGY, INC. (GS-35F-0265X) 8444 WESTPARK DR., STE 200, MCLEAN, VA, 22102-5112. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The NAICS code for this requirement is 541712 with a size standard of 500 employees. Immixtechnology, Inc. is the only known source that can provide Simulia Abaqus/CAE Extended Tokens and 1-yr license renewal. The Abaqua FEA product suite offers powerful and complete solutions for both routine and sophisticated engineering problems, and is ideal support of the structural health monitoring research area where multi-physics modeling is required. Abaqus CAE provides a means to create, edit, monitor, and visualize the models. Verity provides a tool to analyze stress distribution through welds. The extended tokens are required to run the Abaqus models built using CAE and Verity. The existing Abaqus license expires on 30 September 2016. ITEM DESCRIPTION QUANTITY 1 Simulia Abaqus/CAE Extended, 1-yr. license 2 2 Simulia Abaqus Extended Tokens, 1-yr. subscription license 33 3 Simulia Abaqus 1-yr subscription license for Verity 1 This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. All interested responsible sources who feel they are capable of fulfilling this requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be in writing and must be provided in sufficient detail to clearly demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each. Any information submitted shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on September 12, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
