- Map - Beef - 2016 FRESH BEEF - INTERESTED SUPPLIER FORM SURVEY THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The NAICS Code is 311611. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking potential sources and information in anticipation of a requirement to providing and deliver fresh beef (primals and subprimals),case ready, and ground beef products to 77 commissary locations in DeCA's West and Pacific Areas; delivery days and hours will vary per location. See attached map for proposed geographical groupings. The contractor must be able to provide additional support and promotions to each commissary. Additional support includes on-site demos, Point-Of-Sale (POS) materials such as recipe cards, pamphlets, nutritional facts, or other consumer related items. DeCA commissaries are Government-owned and operated facilities designed to operate similar to commercial retail supermarkets, providing food items and other merchandise for resale to active-duty and retired military, and their families at a cost savings compared to the same or similar products sold in the commercial retail markets. The attached form is a request for industry feedback. DeCA encourages your input in completing this form. This is for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation for offers. Companies are encouraged to explore the possibility of creating "teaming" arrangements with other companies and competing in the upcoming solicitation or inquire with other companies on subcontracting possibilities. After collection of this feedback, a notice will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) site to announce the subsequent issuance of a formal solicitation which will also be posted in the same FBO venue. Responses to this request for information are due back no later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (Fort Lee local time) on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 and must be submitted via email to mprc.commodities@deca.mil.
