Description
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC$B!>(BAtlantic), N. Charleston, SC, intends to extend the ordering period for Contracts N65236$B!>(B12$B!>(BD$B!>(B4824 with BAE Systems Technology Solutions, N65236-12-D-4825 with Englobal Government Services, and N65236-12-D-4826 with Honeywell Technology Solutions from 14 Jun 2017 through 13 Dec 2018 to allow time for United States Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center to award the follow-on competitive contract. This extension will permit continuity of services for SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic to provide a full range of services to manage, install and maintain Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE) at Department of Defense (DoD) fuel facilities worldwide. These contracts allow for the planning, design, development, procurement, installation, upgrade, and life-cycle maintenance support for these systems. The goals of this program are to standardize Automated Fuel Handling systems and equipment at DoD fuel facilities worldwide, improve inventory accountability, improve monitoring and control, and prevent fuel spills. This includes the design, procurement, development, and installation of additional fuel facility related systems and equipment, to include Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) systems; Automated Fuel Service Station (AFSS) systems; Hydrant Fueling Automation Maintenance (HFAM); Independent Alarm System (IAS); Truck Overfill Protection Equipment (OPE); Automated Information Systems (AIS); and Facility Security Equipment and Systems This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302$B!>(B1, $B!H(BOnly one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required for this period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract modification for a period of performance extension based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
