Description
2016 TARDEC GROUND VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY TRAINING SYMPOSIUM The United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) will host the Ground Vehicle Survivability Training Symposium (GVSTS) at Fort Benning's Maneuver Battle Lab in Columbus, Georgia from November 15-17, 2016. Schedule: The classified training symposium will commence with an Army Threat Analysis and Situational Briefings delivered by invited Senior Level Officers and Officials from multiple commands throughout the Department of Defense on November 15, 2016 with training content, delivered by peer-reviewed technical presentations followed by moderated discussions will take place on November 16 and 17, 2016. Task: Provide classified technical training in current survivability technologies to Army technologists and acquisition professionals to ensure that the Army is developing, specifying and acquiring the best available survivability solutions for the ground force. Conditions: This training event will include classified content that will be delivered by technical subject matter experts (SME's) in concurrent training sessions held in a classroom environment at the Ft. Benning Maneuver Battle Lab training facility. The training content will be delivered by lecture followed by a moderated technical discussion on the topic of instruction. The lecture materials are peer-reviewed technical presentations which will be electronically published in a Symposium Proceedings on the Defense Technical Information Center's classified Research and Engineering Gateway. Standards: Participants will be able to recognize potential applications of what they have learned per the individual training session learning objectives with the overall intent towards advancing their individual and organizational mission and goals across all ground systems survivability topic areas.
