- Description
- The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) intends to award a commercial sole source purchase order to Charon Technologies, LLC. doing business as CTL-SystemWare at 6835 Deerpath Rd Suite 2, Elkridge, MD 21075-6353. WHS/AD intends to award, an other than full and open competition, one-time purchase for the procurement of the following: --- One (1) CTL-SystemWare DART System Warranty D20-0510055 renewal, including systems repair, customer service support, hardware/software updates, and user training. --- One (1) CTL-SystemWare DART System Warranty D20-0510064 renewal, including systems repair, customer service support, hardware/software updates, and user training. Note: Each warranty shall be effective for three years. The anticipated award will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1)(i): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). No substitution of these items can be accepted. This is a commercial item that will be acquired under FAR Part 12 and Far Part 13 procedures. No RFQ will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this Notice of Intent no later than 9:00AM Eastern Time, 12 September 2016 by email to ryan.m.macdonald.civ@mail.mil; no telephone communications will be entertained. The subject line in the email shall state "Response to Notice of Intent - CTL-SystemWare DART System Warranties." All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the warranties required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
