- Notice of Intent to Sole Source: U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award to Haivision for Coolsign software, maintenance, and 78 digital signage engines which are required to provide critical information throughout Customs and Border Protection (CBP)/ Air and Marine Operations(AMO). The anticipated period of performance is 9/1/2016 through 8/31/2017 for the base year, with two 12 month option periods available, through 8/31/2019. AMO uses the Haivision Digital Signage Players and accompanying software to provide instantaneous and critical mission messaging to all field locations. This capability encourages feedback and participation at all levels and reinforces AMO's identity and image. Due to the complexity of the system and its components, and to assure all Haivision equipment is appropriately supported from an installation, configuration and end user maintenance package for the display engines and software, a maintenance and support program agreement this is necessary to perform all software updates and additional services. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for this contract action in accordance with FAR Part 13.
