- Notice of intent to award a sole source contract The USGS California Water Science Center (CAWSC) through USGS Sacramento OAG, intends to award a sole source contract for a subsurface electromagnetic flow meter to Century Geophysical LLC of Tulsa, OK. Century Geophysical LLC is only current supplier of the electromagnetic flow meter tool we require to help characterize groundwater aquifers for a range of hydrologic investigations. Century Geophysical LLC is only supplier who can provide the required EM flow tool that is totally compatible to our current Century 700M Drawworks system, Century VI electronics, and Century Visual Compulog software. Procurement from another vendor would require the purchase of a new drawworks system and logging software, as well a substantial investment in staff training and documentation. This would significantly increase costs and make Century tools currently owned by CAWSC un-useable. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for implantable intraocular lenses for the Century Geophysical flow meter set forth in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored.
