- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement to purchase a repeater and radios to be delivered and installed at the Glen Canyon Dam located near Page, AZ. Specifications will be provided with the solicitation. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a 100% small business set aside. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The successful supplier will provide the equipment required, install base stations and antennae and instruct Glen Canyon personnel on the use and configuration of the radios. All equipment shall be P25 compatible. Equipment includes: 1 each: Rack mounted repeater and 2 channel combiner, multicoupler, dux, and a line tap and any other hardware required to make operational and interconnect with existing unit and leaky coaxial cable installed in the dam. New repeater will be fully compatible with existing Motorola GTR 8000 currently installed at Glen Canyon. 15 each: 6 unit base chargers with test charge and discharge features 1 each: All programming cables and software package to program the portable radios. Programming software shall be windows 7 compatible 50 each: Motorola Model APX4000 (or equivalent) VHF handheld portable rado with external speaker and microphone, TDMA equipped, long lasting battery 2500mAh or more. Shall be water resistant. Shall be noise filtering and noise cancelling. 2 knob configuration. 25 each: Hard leather carrying case with 3 ¿ swivel belt loop 6 each: Motorolla Model APX4500 mobile radio or equal. To be considered equal, the mobile radios shall be P25 compliant, support AES FIPS 140-2 level 3 encryption. Control head, desk mountable, desk microphone programming cable and software, 166-172 MHz antenna (magnetic mount) and associated hardware required to be GPS capable, but not activated at this time. All mounting hardware shall be included to complete the installations. Manufacturer ¿s Standard warranty on all parts and installation shall be provided. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The release date for the final and formal solicitation number R16PS01776 is anticipated to be released September 9, 2016.
