- Location of service: VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Grand, Island VA Medical Center, Building 7. 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803 Provide all necessary labor, skill and test equipment required to inspect, service and adjust burners, controls and associated instrumentation of boiler system located in Building #7. Knowledge of calibration/adjustment procedures of Superior boiler and controls along with Cleaver Brooks boilers and Cleveland controls is required. Technical: Boiler and instrumentation inspection and calibration will be performed semi-annually in October and March of each year under the contract. Boilers: Cleaver Brooks (two each).Superior (one each) Fire TubeFire Tube 200 Horsepower200 Horsepower Instrumentation: (1) Cleveland Controls and Superior Controls Boiler burner combustion testing and adjustment: Test and adjust to maximum efficiency (two) Cleaver Brooks CB200X-200 and (one) Superior gas and #2 fuel oil combination burners. Test equipment should be accurate and capable of reading minimum of excess air, 02, stack temperature and efficiency. Burner should be adjusted for no more than 15% excess air at high fire with no CO. Written results for each fuel and boiler at each adjustment screw on fuel cams is required. Contractor just provide at least a five-minute time delay between fuel cam set screw adjustments to allow boiler time to stabilize. As a guideline, it is expected that eight hours will be required to test and adjust each boiler. Calibration of boiler panels and instrumentation: (1) The following equipment will be required to perform testing and calibration: 4-20 M.A. meter. 4-20 milliampere and 1-5 volt simulator. Accurate volt-ohm meter. Barometer. Decade box. (2) Check and calibrate the following: (a) Draft gauges. Feedwater controls. Boiler steam pressure submaster control. Boiler steam pressure master control. 3. Checklist: Contractor will provide a completed service report indicating complete details specifically identifying each burner, control, sensor, gauge, panel and instrumentation unit calibrated within three weeks after service has been performed.
