Description

Under the auspices of Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(2)(b) the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23, 708 S 3rd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415 anticipates entering into a sole source fixed price purchase order with DentalEZ for J/V-Generation chair cushions, slings, and repair parts. This is an emergent procurement in that the current upholstery hinders proper sterilization and directly impacts infectious disease control which could lead to serious issues. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 3 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a formal solicitation. The notice is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The closing date for this synopsis is September 12, 2016 at 3:30pm CT. The Government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to ken.eshom@va.gov no later than the time and date noted.
