Description
Attachment 2 - Statement of Objectives Attachment 1 - Clauses and Provisions Request for Proposal This requirement is being solicited as a Brand Name procurement. This RFP is for the purchase of InTouch by Wonderware brand name software to support USCG Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The USCG is responsible for maintaining Maritime Distress Watch and Command and Control of its forces using its chain of remote radio sites, located strategically throughout the State of Alaska. These remote communication sites in Alaska, known as Remote Fixed Facilities (RFF), provide critical search and rescue communications capabilities and USCG tactical communications coverage and connect via common carrier circuitry to central radio console control locations. SCADA is an industry wide solution for remotely monitoring various systems of a distant facility and reporting as well as recording the desired information. Alaska RFFs are in need of this SCADA system, particularly, the three 'new' RFFs built as part of Phase 1 of the Alaska National Distress and Response System (NDRS) upgrade. SCADA requires mechanical components as well as software to operate. The required mechanical systems were installed during the initial construction of the three new RFFs. However, the software element of the system still needs to be acquired. The InTouch by Wonderware brand name SCADA software will fulfill the remaining components of the system yet to be fielded.
