- Description
- Contractor Capability Survey Specifications and Drawings Requirements Description Instructions REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) For Repair of C-130H Aircraft Navigation Data Converters (6605-01-417-1491LG, 6605-01-378-2915LG, 6605-01-397-2868LG) The Government is conducting market research/RFI to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the repair requirements for qualification and production of the C-130H Aircraft Navigation Data Converters for use by United States Air Force (USAF). The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. The Air Force Material Command, AFMC Form 762, Contract Repair Screening Acquisition Worksheet Repair Method Code (RMC) and Repair Method Suffix Code (RMSC) for these items are R1R. RMC "R1" means suitable for competitive repair for the second or subsequent time. RMSC "R" means the Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. No samples are available for potential supplier to evaluate due to carcass constraints. The Contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor's facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. The current qualified sources are Aerospace Maintenance Solutions LLC and Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. The Government does not own or have access to the data for these items. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. INSTRUCTIONS: The document (s) below contain a description of the Navigation Data Converters requirements, a Contractor Capability Survey and a draft Performance Based Work Statement. The Survey allows Contractors to provide their company's capability. The Contractor Capability Survey, which will allow you to provide your company's capability, is separately attached. If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company's capabilities in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience in a particular area, please provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.) Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged. Questions relative to this market survey should be addressed to Ronald Copeland, Ronald.copeland@us.af.mil, (478) 327-3692.
