Description
Site Visit Questions and Answers: Question 1. Will FLETC have the trailer titles available if it is decided that the contractor will be allowed to repurpose the trailers? Answer: The contractor is not allowed to repurpose the trailers. FLETC does not have titles for the trailers. The contractor will receive a Memo of Approval to remove the trailers and a survey report from the Assets and Logistics Management Division. Question 2. Will it be required to demo each of the trailer electrical services back to the main panel? Anawer: No. Demo the electrical back to the sub-panel outside each trailer. Question 3. Are the tongues and axles available for each trailer? Answer: Yes, and the tongues will have to be reattached. Question 4. Do we need to remove the refrigerant from the AC units or is that going to be completed prior to our arrival? Answer: The AC units will be removed prior to the contractor's arrival. Question 5. Do we need to recycle/manifest the florescent light bulbs and ballast or is that going to be taken care of prior to our arrival? Answer: The contractor is responsible for properly disposing of anything that might be deemed hazardous waste. The Environmental and Safety Division will provide bins for disposal. Question 6. Are the electrical panels on the outside of the trailers staying? Answer: Yes. Question 7. Are there any known asbestos in any of the trailers? Answer: The Environmental and Safety Division checks the trailers annually. They've reviewed the records and there is no known asbestos in the trailers. Question 8. Is an asbestos survey required? Answer: No. Question 9. Will there be any asphalt or concrete replacement need under the trailers? Answer: No. Question 10. Will power isolation be limited to the sub transformers located between the trailers? Answer: Demo the electrical services back to the sub-panel outside each trailer. Question 11. Did we get an answer for power relocation requirements for the carport on trailer 720? Answer: Disconnect the power to the carport. Rewiring will not be required. Question 12. What are the authorized working hours and days of the week for projects? Answer: Work shall be performed during normal business hours. The commercial gate is open from 6am-6pm. Question 13. Upon work completion and inspection, what is the average time of payment. Answer: 30 days after receipt of a proper invoice. Question 14, Will the company awarded this project have the flexibility to assign one employee to Site Superintendent, QC and SSHO? Answer: Yes Detailed Description Addendum: • Schedule trailer 720 to be demolished last. Verify with project manager that all furniture is removed from 720 before proceeding. • Disconnect electrical from carport next to 720. • Trailer 719 contains a small sink only. Trailer 720 contains sink and toilet. o Cap off water pipe as close as possible to water line coming from building 210. o Cap off sewage pipe as close to sewer line as possible. o Pipes can be abandoned in place. • For recycled material, submit tickets for all material loads removed from FLETC. All tickets shall bear the original signatures and load weights.
