Description
THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE. THE TENATIVE ADVERTISEMENT DATE IS LATE SEPTEMBER 2016. THIS PROJECT WILL BE ADVERTISED ON A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE BASIS. The work will be located in Death Valley National Park, Inyo County, California. Rehabilitate (3R) the southern 4.4 miles of Artist Drive. The road begins 8.6 miles south from the intersection of NPS Route 5001 (CA-190) and NPS Route 0015 (Badwater Road). Artist Drive is a one way loop to the east of Route 0015. It begins at approximately MP 8.6 of Route 0015 and ends 8.89 miles later at approximately MP 4.9 of Route 0015. The work associated with this project is the southern portion of the Artist Drive beginning at MP 0, at the intersection with Route 0015 (MP 8.6) and ends at MP 4.4 of Artist Drive. The project package consists of Artists Drive 3R 4.4 miles of pulverize and overlay (Schedule A); Artists Drive ERFO repairs including pavement patching, concrete barrier cutoff wall installation, and riprap ditch protection (Schedule A); and Harmony Borax Trail ERFO repairs including patching damaged pavement, placing fill material in eroded areas along the shoulders, and replacement of a section of riprap (Option X). The primary objective of the proposed contract is to fix damage to the roads from a significant storm event and also to rehabilitate a portion of Artists Drive through pulverization and overlay. Significant Quantities (Schedule A): · 360 sqyd roadway obliteration · 1,125 ton roadway aggregate · 5 miles full depth reclamation · 4,500 ton asphalt concrete pavement · 310 lnft asphalt curb · 9 miles pavement markings · 150 cuyd class 2 riprap · 4,400 lnft shoulder and ditch reconditioning · 490 sqyd asphalt concrete pavement patching · 1,700 lnft concrete barrier · 380 cuyd class 1 riprap Significant Quantities (Option X): · 20 cuyd class 3 riprap · 360 lnft shoulder and ditch reconditioning · 50 sqyd asphalt concrete pavement patching The contracting range for this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
