Description

The Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Affairs Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC) - Columbus, OH, has a requirement for Project 757-17-501, "Renovate Learning Resource Center". The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision and any other items required to complete project "Renovate Learning Resource Center", at the VAACC, 420 North James Road, Columbus, OH 43219-1834, in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The Renovate Learning Resource Center project is necessary to address the space needs for the Renovate Learning Resource Center. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Renovate Learning Resource Center, Project 757-17-501, as required by drawings and specifications. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The VA intends to issue the Request For Quotation (RFQ) for the Renovate Learning Resource Center to three (3) SDVOSB General Contractors. In accordance with Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10(c) (4), the SDVOSB Contractor or SDVOSB Sub-Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 15% of the construction work on the project. Duration of the project should not exceed 120 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). **NOTE: Interested SDVOSB Offerors that are interested in submitting a proposal for the Renovate Learning Resource Center project should email Brian Kish for a copy of the solicitation at the following email address: brian.kish@va.gov. A one-time only site visit will be scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) at the Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Affairs Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), 420 North James Road, Columbus, OH 43219-1834. Attendees will meet in the Engineering Building Conference Room beginning at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) prior to the Site Visit. Due to security issues, all attendees must sign in at the VAACC Front Desk prior to meeting at the Engineering Building Conference Room for the Site Visit. The Project Site will be available for inspection on this date. One Hundred and Twenty (120) day acceptance period will be required. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Offerors must be listed in the VetBiz Registry Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, currently registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov, Experian - BusinessIQ, to name a few, to be eligible for award. Offerors MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to bid opening date. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million.
