Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to Virginia Water Systems, Inc. This order will be for the procurement of preventive maintenance, disinfection, system testing, and calibration services on a MRO4 Ameriwater Reverse Osmosis System. These services will be primarily conducted at the Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Salem Virginia. This order requires certification to perform maintenance and repairs services from the manufacturer (Ameriwater). Virginia Water Systems has been identified as the only vendor capable of fulfilling this service for the Roanoke Metropolitan area. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within fourteen (14) days of the issuances of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services herein, and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1 (b).
