Description

This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any vendors with economic status of Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and other Small Businesses that can provide laboratory services in San Francisco. The projected period of performance is December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2017 with up to 4 option years. The socio-economic status of the responders will determine the type of set-aside, if any. Summary of Work Contractor shall provide laboratory services to include specimen packaging and transport of specimens to its laboratories; pre-analytic processing as defined in its Laboratory Testing Manual; performing tests for KRAS mutation, EGFR status and molecular tests for breast and colon cancer including microsatellite instability status and HER2 status; reporting of analytic test results; and consultation regarding test selection, specimen collection and preservation, specimen transportation, principles of methodology and results interpretation as requested by the San Francisco VA Medical Center, hereinafter referred to as the SFVAMC The facility shall meet all local, state and federal licensing requirements and health codes for providing on a regular basis laboratory services. The facility shall maintain a current facility operations permit, state license, insurance and provide copies of these documents to the VA upon request. (Please see the attached DRAFT PWS for additional information.) There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 621511 with Small Business size of $32.5 million. NOTE: Please ensure that SAM indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. Only firms interested should send their information and/or capability statement and any questions by email to ricky.woods@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, Sept 23, 2016.
