Intent to Sole Source: KARL STORZ ENDOSCOPY-AMERICA, Inc. Special Notice Number: N0025916N0217 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, with: KARL STORZ ENDOSCOPY-AMERICA, Inc 2151 Grand Ave El Segundo, CA, 90245-5017 The objective of this sole source award is to procure service maintenance agreements for the government owned Urology Endoscopes and Cystoscopes. The scopes requiring service are manufactured by Karl Storz and are proprietary to the manufacturer. Karl Storz is the only vendor capable of meeting the government's minimum requirements which are: a. Unlimited number of repairs on products listed in the statement of work b. Free technology upgrades included in service agreement c. OEM parts availability and use d. On-site repair with 24 hours of request e. Manufactured approved service. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time on September 20, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elizabeth Sanders at elizabeth.n.sanders.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Special Notice Number N0025916N0217" "A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
