- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to REPAIR the item as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the Government approved vendor(s) for the repair of the following: ITEM: TWT TRI-BAND P/N: T01T0B0SAA000F00 T01T0B0SAA000F04 T01TOB0SAA000F0401 NSN: 5895 01-574-6299 Quantity: 14+/ea All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. G overnment approval of a source is required due to the item being AMC coded 1R. Per DFARs PGI 217-75 - SPARE PARTS BREAKOUT PROGRAM PART 2--BREAKOUT CODING 2-201.1 Acquisition method codes b) AMC 1. Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time. (r) AMSC R. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar items. This brochure can be obtained by e-mailing the NAVSUP Buyer. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVSUP, submit a copy of the cover letter that forwarded your request for source approval. Vendors that fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered as a potential source for this repair requirement. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, synopsis, solicitation and award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
