Description

This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any vendors with economic status of Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and other Small Businesses that can provide cytology services in its on-site laboratory in Martinez and Mather CA. The projected period of performance is October 2016 through September 30, 2017 with up to 2 option years. The socio-economic status of the responders will assist in the determination of the type of set-aside, if any. Summary of Work The Department of Veterans Affairs has a laboratory at its campus in Martinez and Mather and seeks contractor support to provide cytopathology to screen slides on site. Contractor personnel to screen between approximately 2,000 to 3,000 slides per year. The VA pays per slide screened. VA business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and no work may be performed on Federal holidays. There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 621511 with Small Business size of $32.5M million. NOTE: Please ensure that SAM indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. Vendors interested should send their information and/or capability statement and any questions by email to felicia.demita@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, September 22, 2016. Telephone calls will not be accepted as a response to this notice. No spam please. In order to be considered SDVOSB or VOSB, business must be verified by CVE. Status will be verified using VetBiz. In addition to the foregoing, please provide the following: "Identify potential candidate(s), "Indicate earliest availability, "Indicate whether candidate has current license to practice as a Cytologist in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth in the U.S. or District of Columbia.
