- W913E5-16-T-0029 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. The solicitation number for this request for quotations (RFQ) is W913E5-16-T-0029. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314, which has a size standard of 500 employees. NOTE - FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. ANY SUBSEQUENT CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED UNTIL FUNDING BECOMES AVAILABLE. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for a Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy. The system must meet all of the following required specifications: 1.Bench or table top size with footprint less than 1 m by 1 m 2.At least 60,000X optical magnification 3.Adjustable sample stage 4.Vacuum pump 5.At least three accelerating voltages 6.No requirement of liquid nitrogen 7.No requirement for sample coating 8.Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometer with Silicon Drift Detector 9.Software and computer for communicating with microscope, saving images, and recording chemical composition. Please reference the attached RFQ for the full scope of work as well as all applicable provisions and clauses. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable (LPTA) offeror. Failure to meet all required technical specifications will result in the quote being determined technically unacceptable. Note: In order to be eligible for award of a Government contract, vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), have no active exclusions, and complete FAR and DFARS representations and certifications.
