Description

The William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison WI has a need for residential furniture for the patients in the AODA Program. The contractor shall provide all equipment, material, and tools required to furnish the supplies listed below. All casegoods must feature thermoformed tops, drawer fronts, doors & to kicks. Thermoformed components must be constructed using ¾" MDF core surfaced with wood grain thermofoil laminate. All tops will be ¾" thick; all drawer fronts and doors will be minimum ¾" thickness. Drawer sided comes with a lifetime warranty. Backs: All cabinets to have ¾" backs surfaces with matching melamine. Hinges, glides and hardware to be installed with a lifetime warranty. Glides must be a minimum 5/8" diameter and will be non-marring, corrosion-proof plastic. All assembly hardware must meet a metal to metal connection. Hardware: Brushed stainless Euro Pull/ Wood Finish: Rustic Cherry General descriptions of the furniture are as follows: Qty.: 6Bedside Table w/ three drawers, auto-lock concealed caster system using a side lever. Glides will be minimum 5/8" diameter and will be non-marring, corrosion-proof plastic. This furniture series are to have thermoformed components with a soft woodgrain appearance. Thermoformed components are created by using vacuum technology to "wrap" thermofoil laminate around edges, while pressing it into surface contours to achieve a subtle, seamless appearance. The key factor for the thermofoil technology is that it eliminates bacteria-collecting edge. Destination charges to the Wm. S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI are included in the contract price. DELIVERABLE/INSTALLATION SCHEDULE: The contractor will provide safe and timely delivery and installation of all materials as outlined. Only manufacturers of EQUAL or BETTER items on GSA schedule will be considered. Delivery and installation is to occur at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, WI. The installation will be in 3 Phases, which includes removal/disposal of all the existing wood furniture, which consists of headboards, desks, and bedside cabinets. Finishes and materials are to match the described. Installation will be performed during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm except when approved in advance by the Contracting Officer.
