Description

Intent to Set-Aside for Total Small Business: The Department of Veteran's Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, intends to solicit a total small business set-aside for Project 695-16-119, Replace HVAC V13, AC4, MER5 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Award will be made to a small business qualified to perform as a prime contractor on a specialized construction contract that will focus mainly on procurement and phased replacement of HVAC equipment at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. The Government anticipates award of a single, firm fixed price, contract with a value in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 with a period of performance of 730 days to a small business vendor under NAICS code 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Constrictors (size standard: $15.0 Million). The Great Lakes Acquisition Center posted a sources sought (VA69D-16-N-1293) on September 8, 2016 to identify Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) and received insufficient responses to support a SDVOSB or VOSB set aside therefore intend to set-aside for total small business. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. If anyone has information that refutes the government's intent, please submit concerns to the contracting officer at Jerrod.Schleis@va.gov by September 22, 2016.
