Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract under the authority of Title 38, U.S.C. Sections 8127 - 8128 and in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 819.7007, to Herman Construction Group, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business. The steam line from the boiler plant to a VA Long Beach Healthcare medical center facility building is ruptured and needs replacing as the line that supplies steam to building 149, heating components and HVAC, and water supply needs repair. This is a critical utility system that will need to be repaired in a timely manner. This notice of intent is NOT a request for capability statements, quotes or proposals. This notice is to comply with the posting requirements identified in FAR Part 5.101. A copy of sole source justification will be subsequently posted within 14 days after contract award in accordance with FAR Part 6.305 (a).
