Description
Functional/Performance/Specification A: Description & Salient Characteristics: The Fargo VAMC, Nutrition and Food Service Line have a requirement for 2 convection steamers, each with 2 compartments. These needs are required, as the current equipment is continually out of order and interrupting the process required for properly serving our veterans. The following dimensions and characteristics need to be achieved, as this equipment will go directly in place of the old equipment and continue to serve the same projected amount of veterans. 1.2 Compartment Convection Steamers a)Quantity 2 Convection steams, each with 2 compartments b)Must be able to hold up to 10 full sized steam table pans. Pan dimensions currently utilized by the Fargo VA facility are 12"x 20" x 2 ½ deep. c)The unit must be able to run on 208v/50/60/3ph, 72 amps, 25.2 kw, and be direct wired d)Electric powered steam e)Staged water fill, timed drain with PowerFlush Sytem f)Manual control with 60 minute timer and constant steam feature for each compartment g)Not to exceed 76" H x 24" W x 33" D as the space allocated this equipment cannot accommodate anything larger B. Training and Cleaning 1.Onsite training of operating and cleaning must be available to staff immediately after the installation of equipment 2.Training and cleaning materials to be provided upon delivery of equipment C. Delivery and Installation 1.Delivery and Installation is to be scheduled with the Chief of Nutrition and Food Service. Equipment is to be delivered to assigned room within the designated area to which it will operate. Materials of all pieces to which make the equipment fully functional, including all accessories must be present upon delivery. Contractor may need to install equipment outside of normal business hours (8A-4:30P) depending on the Veteran Nourishment needs and equipment involved. Joan Carlisle Chief of Nutrition and Food Service 701-239-3700 x3619 Joan.carlisle@va.gov 2.Equipment must capable of transport through a pathway with the narrowest point of 32" in pieces or fully assembled, without defacing any Fargo VA property, to include floors, walls, ceilings, etc. 3.All items to be shipped F.O.B. destination. Shipping shall be included in the product price and shall not be billed separately. 4.Any additional materials to include the standard warranty information, training and cleaning materials, proper care for upkeep, and troubleshooting are required upon delivery. D. Price Schedule 1.The following schedule shall include all costs associated with the equipment, such as, any additional hardware to complete installation (i.e. washers, hoses, screws, etc.) and the tools needed to do so. The Fargo VAMC makes no guarantee that the following items will be purchased. Pricing should include the cost for each item separately.
