- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency, Contracting Division, Maritime Norfolk intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a Sole Source basis with Cutler Hammer, Division of Eaton Corporation, Houston, TX for Controller, Motor which will be required by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, in Portsmouth, VA. The material will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The procurement will be solicited on a 100% small business set aside basis. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 335312 and the size standard is 1000. Requests for quote will be available for download on or about 19 SEP 2016 at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov/ under solicitation number SPMYM1-16-Q-0104. Quotes will be due by 3:00 pm EST on 23 SEP 2016 and may be emailed to the attention of Trellis Harris at trellis.1.harris@dla.mil. Please make sure that the solicitation number (SPMYM1-16-Q-0111) is included in the subject line of any email correspondence. Emails without subject lines will not be read because of security issues. The Contract Line Item (CLIN) is as follows: CLIN 0001 @ 1 EA, Controller, Motor 6977ED2B3-2 CONTROLLER, MOTOR SIZE 2 MAGNETIC CONTROLLER 6977ED2 SERIES Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above web site. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award.
