Description

The SAO-EAST (Service Area Office) East intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Nikon Instruments Inc., 1300 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, NY 11747 to acquire Nikon equipment that will replace the existing Nikon microscope in support of ongoing VA Research studies. This equipment will be purchased to maintain continuity of existing research. Nikon will provide the following equipment: Product# Product Description 1 EA Ni-E Microscope with Motorized Z and Motorized Fluorescent Filter Turret. Includes 4X, 10X, 20X, 40X, 60X Oil, and 100X Oil Objectives This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Any responsible sources who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide this or equal equipment must notify this Contracting Officer at Bridget.Kornish@va.gov NLT, Thursday,September 22, 2016 by3:00pm EST. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Upon receipt of the interested parties' notification, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations.
