Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA,IAW FAR 6.302-1 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc, 1001 Rte 202 Us Hwy, Raritan, NJ, 08869-1424. The Contractor will provide Blood Bank Quality Control Reagents in order to be able to perform ABO identification and/or Antibody Identification for use with leased Ortho automated instrument currently installed at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics is the sole source supplier of the ORTHO VISION Analyzer and the reagents and supplies for the proprietary ID-Micro Typing System Gel technology reagent products. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of twelve (12) months with two (2) pre-priced one year options for renewal. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers; however, interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT 23 September, 2016 at 5:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
