Description

The USDA Agricultural Research Service intends to award on a sole source basis the following requirement: TWO (2) SG2 DUAL CHAMBERED CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT SEED GERMINATION UNITS. The government intends to purchase these items from Hoffman Manufacturing, Inc., located in Jefferson, OR, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 as the sole manufacturer of identical units used for ongoing scientific research that is not permissive of differing conditions and specifications. The proposed amount of the award is $33,834.00. This notice is not a solicitation for quotations and is being posted for informational purposes only. No solicitation document is available and this notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Potential sources who believe that they are able provide the item listed above are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing by no later than COB, 09/23/2016. Telephone requests will not be honored. Any information that is received will be considered. A determination to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. The estimated award date is 09/26/2016.
